MODULE 1

 

THEORY:
• Knowing the notes of the fretboard
• Learning open chords
• Playing common pop progressions

TECHNIQUE:
• Right Hand Techniques
• Left Hand Techniques
• Right & Left hand synchronisation

PLAYING:
• Strumming
• Picking
• Finger Picking

 

MODULE 2

 

THEORY:
• Learning Pentatonic Scales
• Learning Caged System
• Learning 7th Chords

TECHNIQUE:
• Playing to a metronome
• Developing Speed
• Legato & Staccato

PLAYING:
• Learning whole songs
• Playing light solos
• Ear playing

 

MODULE 3

 

THEORY:
• Improvising
• Using scales with right chords
• Arpeggios

TECHNIQUE:
• Sweep picking
• Playing fast licks
• Playing up to 32nd notes

PLAYING:
• Full solos
• Following your ear through a song
• Playing through genres

 


Guitar and singing lessons combined together are an additional option that is available.

PRIME Music Academy (formerly Vocal Expressions Music School) has helped hundreds of aspiring singers and musicians from all age groups reach their full musical potential. Prime Music Academy also offers it's unique curriculum and specialized teaching techniques online, through our Skype program. Our Skype lesson plans are unique to New Zealand music instruction, and offers the ability for students located anywhere, nationally or around the world to participate with our teachers in pursuing their music education and achieving their musical dreams.

Anita Prime

PRIME Music Academy  is owned and operated by vocal instructor and Trinity College of London graduate, Anita Prime (www.anitaprimemusic.com).  Anita Prime http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anita_Prime  is a singer-songwriter from New Zealand. At the 2011 LA Music Awards she won the Best Music Video for “La La La” after being nominated for both this, and Best International Artist categories.
